For those who don't remember, I've started my first self-designed sewing project. Some of the details can be found here.
I have finally figured almost everything out. Instead of using the Illini fleece for the blanket, that will be used to cover some pillows that we have and become throw pillows for his room. The big fleece panel will be one side of his blanket and the Illini fabric and a solid blue color will be the other one. If there is enough left over I might (key word here) do pillow cases, but this project is going to be big enough without me getting even more ambitious.
