My first cake

Nick's birthday is Monday and so I decided to try making a cake. Steps 1 though 3 weren't that hard. Then comes the decorating.

My little mixer that I got when my grandparents had an accident with their 5th wheel. Of course once I had this step done and had it in the pan to cook, I turned around to see

The little sneak had grabbed my spatula. Is that some genetic knowledge or what?

I was trying for a FORD emblem, ehh. Not too bad for my first try.


As for me, I started to feel like a medical country song earlier this week. The problem with my left hand had spread to my right and I had a kidney infection. But it's starting to look like everything might be healing. I'll still be on medications for the next 40 some odd days, but once the skin heals I'll be doing a happy dance.

Hopefully I'll have some pictures from the zoo for everyone. As long as the weather cooperates we're planning on taking Ben to the zoo on Monday.
