We now have a list going about all the things Ben can do on his own and will NOT accept any help from us. They include:
1) Getting into the car and car seat.
I have an escape with no running boards but he's been working on this one for a while. He's been getting into his car seat, except the buckling in part, for a little while now. If I try to help him, the fit that ensues!
2) Getting in and out of his high chair.
Not too big of a deal right? Except our table and chairs are bar height.
3) Taking his socks off.
He'll accept a little help with the heels.
4) He knows how to use my debit card!!
Yup, we had some dealings at the bank and were letting him play with my wallet to keep him happy. He pulled out the credit card and put it back a few times (important detail) then pulled out my debit card, grabbed the little electronic thing that you sign instead of signing paper and swiped my card down the side!
He is learning at such an amazing rate. We got him a Seasame Street computer game and I've found a site to print out coloring pages and what not. Oh, for those with kids (or those without) try this site it's one of those that will keep anyone entertained.
