To set the scene - I got some new work toys at my expo on Friday and Simba, ever so nicely, volunteered to try them out. So Saturday he got a bath and blow out (for lack of a better term). Right now it looks like a hairy orange thing exploded in the bathroom and I've been picking it up for two days!

Today I decided to brush and comb him until nothing was coming off him. Ben wanted to help and that was fine. Then he reaches up and tugs my hair tie and says he wants to brush Mommy's hair....yeah I think you see where this is headed.... which was fine I lowered my head so he could pull it down and he starts combing it upside down, a little uncomfortable but doable. Then I noticed it doesn't exactly feel like he's combing it.

Nope, he was curling it. I got him to stop fairly quickly and tried and failed to untangle my hair from the comb. So I went outside were Nick was weed wacking the edges of the lawn and told him I needed help. After he got down laughing, he started unraveling my hair and his only real remark about the whole thing was "a hairdresser he is not".

So Ben is no longer allowed to brush my hair with anything other than an honest to God brush and I've learned to pay more attention to what the kid is doing with my hair.

Until the next episode.....................
