We made it to and from Virginia in one piece. Although I will say I'm probably not going to take both kids by myself again for a while.

We sent our stuff a head so that we didn't have to deal with it and also because it would have been 35 dollars for the first bag! The flight out was great, both kids fell asleep at take off so Mommy even got a nap! We were met by my mother at the gate because Richmond is cool like that (O'Hare wouldn't give Nick a security pass, that's fine but that makes Richmond even better). Luckily one of her friends' daughters had somewhat recently had a baby so we were able to borrow her infant seat (again avoiding baggage fees) and away we went for a week and a half with Grandma and Bumpa.

The camera has a red light/ red eye thing so Ayla had a habit of looking at it, so candid pictures were hard to get. This was the first night we were there.

So cute.

Ben found my mothers coin jar.

Will have to pick this up later. I have to go bail my toilet and mop up the floor. Ben put most of a roll of toilet paper in it and jammed it down so not only did it flood but he blew the wax seal so I had to shut off the water.
