Since I've decided to post a little more on the interesting events surrounding a two year old, it seems I may have one each day.
Before I tell this one, I need to explain that our sliding door is a little odd. It doesn't have a lock on the handle like most. It has a little peg in the left bottom corner that you step on. It's not very practical with a two year old so we have tried putting something on the top, but Daddy broke it.
Since Ben can open the door at will now, he's only gotten out once, I've made it a habit to close and lock the screen door. He can still get it open but no one can get out, this morning I forgot to do that after I let the dog in.
So I walk into the living room and see Ben has opened the door again. I close it and tell him you don't open the door. But as I turned to walk away I hear an animal calling to be let in, meowing actually. Yes one of the cats, Loki to be precise, had gotten out but it seemed like closing the door made her go "oh s(#*" and decide that wasn't something she wanted.
